Top 13 and Their Song Performances on American Idol Tonight (3/9/11)

Now to change the subject to something a little bit brighter: I now know who is performing what on American Idol tonight. There is a strong possibility that I will not see the show until after voting has already closed, so I am doing a teaser of a blog entry before the main entree, which will probably premiere sometime tomorrow.

Drew's Early Views: Judging by the song spoilers supplied by MJ's Big Blog (mjsbigblog.com), with the exception of a couple of songs, the picks by the Top 13 are sorta predictable. Karen is going for a song made popular by Selena, whom Jennifer Lopez, one of the judges this season, starred in a biographical film about Selena in 1997. That performance should be good, but she has a lot to live up to with that performance. Thia should be wonderful, along with James, Paul, Scotty, Casey, and Lauren Alaina. I have to root for the Georgia native first and foremost, because we are from the same state, and boy howdy, does she have the vocal pipes to represent the state very well.

Unless I find a way to watch online, I will not be live-blogging the performances tonight, and I will therefore, not be able to vote tonight. Let's just hope that I can find a way to watch it. I want to very badly.

Until either tomorrow or later tonight,
-Drew-
