Three Grammy Award winners — Seal, Kelly Clarkson and David Foster — are signed on to perform the national anthem before the Indianapolis 500 on May 29.

Seal, an English soul and R&B singer-songwriter who is known for his tune “Kiss from a Rose” from the “Batman Forever” film soundtrack, and Clarkson, winner of the inaugural season of “American Idol,” will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner” as a duet during pre-race ceremonies for the 100th Anniversary of the Indianapolis 500 on May 29. Foster, a 16-time Grammy Award winner and three-time Oscar nominee, will accompany them on a grand piano.

Jennifer Lopez Doesn’t Know If She Is Returning to American Idol Next Year

As the focus shifted away from family life to her career, where the “American Idol” judge claims she’s at the point where touring is finally an option, Jennifer kept things open when asked if she would remain a judge on the hit reality series. “I don’t know,” she said with a nervous laugh. “There’s so many things going on, I just don’t know what’s going to happen. There’s a lot of amazing opportunities.”

The Top 4 Also Sing “Songs of Inspiration” For Their Second Songs Tonight…My Predictions

image

james_durbin

James Durbin

“Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey

(NOTE: This has been confirmed as his song choice for tonight):

E! News has exclusively learned that Durbin will perform Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’” tomorrow and sources tell us the 22-year-old smallish-town boy (born and raised in…Santa Cruz, Calif.!) has crafted a “mind-blowing” version of the 1981 classic.

And considering Durbin’s metal edge is pronounced and there’s only one of him, we weren’t surprised to hear that his will sound “nothing like” the version that accompanied Glee everywhere it went during its award-winning first season.

“He will make it his own, that’s for sure,” an insider says.

E News is reporting

I believe that James will make his own version of Journey’s mega-hit, and it will probably be tons better than the version performed on Glee, nothing against the talents on Glee:

Although, it will be pretty difficult to top the original song! This song is a mainstay in American popular culture, and it has been an inspiration to millions of Americans!!

JAMES, ROCK ON!!!

Lauren-Alaina

Lauren Alaina

“So Small” by Carrie Underwood

I seriously think that if Lauren performs this song, and gives it all she has, and doesn’t hold anything back, she will have an amazing moment in her performance tonight. She needs to perform this song!!!

scotty mccreery

Scotty McCreery

“Long Black Train” by Josh Turner

This one is a no-brainer. Scotty loves songs by Josh Turner, and this song is very inspirational! It would honestly surprise me if he sings anything different tonight.

Haley Reinhart

I have no clue what Haley will possibly sing, we’ll just have to see what she does!!

D-RIZZ OUT!!!
