I seriously can’t believe that we are eight days from the American Idol Season 10 finale, in which they will crown yet another winner of the reality singing competition.
We will either be celebrating Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, and Haley Reinhart on their winning the competition. I will be happy if either Scotty or Lauren wins, but I will be royally pissed if Haley wins this competition. She has not been consistent in her singing this season. She has grown as a singer, but she has still been outshined by Lauren and Scotty.

Earlier in the week, the Top 3 contestants went home for their hometown visits.
While Scotty was back in his hometown of Garner, North Carolina, he performed in front of many of the townspeople of Garner. While he was singing “Your Man” by Josh Turner, a song Scotty popularized during the audition process of American Idol, the real Josh Turner appeared behind Scotty, and for a few seconds there, was completely shocked and flabbergasted.
Then, both Josh and Scotty, with Josh’s road band in tow, performed Josh’s first hit, “Long Black Train” to the crowd’s delight.

Lauren returned to Rossville, GA, her hometown, and saw the utter devastation that had taken place while she was in LA for American Idol. As many of you remember, the horrific tornado outbreak of last month damaged 21 counties in Georgia, including Catoosa County, where Lauren’s hometown of Rossville is located.

Even though he didn’t make it to the Top 3, James Durbin got an amazing homecoming back home in Santa Cruz, CA, who declared the day he came back Durbin Day.
Estimates of about 30,000 people attended this event in Santa Cruz! WOW is all I can say!! Speaks volumes about his talent.
